Each hair grows in cycles—it grows, rests, and then falls out. Usually, this cycle repeats approximately yearly.

Causes of Hair Loss

A number of things can cause unwarranted hair loss. For example, about 3 or 4 months after an illness or a major surgery, you may all of a sudden lose a large amount of hair.

This hair loss is related to the stress of the illness and is provisional.

Hormonal evils may cause hair loss. If your thyroid gland is overactive or under active, your hair may fall out. This hair loss typically can be helped by action thyroid disease.

Many women notice hair loss about 3 months after they've had a baby. This loss is also related to hormones.

During pregnancy, high level of certain hormones cause the body to keep hair that would usually fall out.

Symptoms of Hair Loss


Hair loss can occur as contraction, in which you may not notice hair falling out, or as shedding, in which clumps of hair fall out.

In the most ordinary type of hair loss, present at birth hair loss (androgenetic alopecia), men tend to lose hair on the front hairline and forehead and on top of the head.

Eventually, only hair approximately the ears, the sides, and back of the head remains. Women with this condition typically have gradual thinning throughout the scalp.

Treatment of Hair Loss


If hair loss is caused by a momentary situation such as medication, stress or insufficient iron, however, however, the hair loss will stop when its cause ends.

Alopecia areata can be treated with injection of steroids such as triamcinolone into the area. For all of the causes, early treatment works the best.

Finasteride (Propecia) is a prescription hair loss treatment that is prescribed for men only.

Home Remedies for Hair Loss

1. Boil one cup mustard oil with four tablespoon heena (mehendi) leaves. Filter it and keep it in a bottle. Message it on the bald patches regularly. It is very effective natural remedy for baldness.

2. Grind fenugreek seeds with water and apply on the head. Leave for at least 40 minutes before washing. Continue it for a month.

3. Do a vigorous rubbing of the scalp with fingers after washing the hair with cold water. It is also a good natural hair loss treatment.

4. Rub the bald area with onions till it becomes red. Then be relevant honey on the bald area. It is very effective natural cure for baldness

5. Make a mixture of honey with egg yolk. Properly rub on the scalp and hairs. Leave for a 1/2 hour, then wash
