Dandruff is a kind of skin chaos that affects the scalp. Dandruff is a state in which white, dry flakes of dead skin are shed from the scalp.

Normally dead skin cells are shed from the scalp, but it results in dandruff only when the scalp starts flaking thick layers of these dead skin particles.

Seborrheic dermatitis or Seborrhoea is a disorder of the sebaceous glands which affect the scalp.

Cause of Dandruff

Contrary to the old wives tales, dandruff isn't caused by too much shampooing or dry skin. It is triggered by overactive oil glands, food allergies, stress, excessive perspiration, or harsh shampoos.

There is a common misconception that dandruff is caused by scalp skin being too dry. Hence some people avoid washing their hair, believe that the drying result of shampoo will worsen their dandruff.

Their scalp is almost certainly not being cleansed enough; the scale is building up into larger, more noticeable flakes before it falls off the skin.

Dandruff problems tend to occur more often in people with oily skin and hair.

Symptoms of Dandruff

To the average person, the obvious sign of dandruff is the pale wash of tiny chips of scalp peeling from the head and onto clothing.

Dermal scaling, however, can be a symptom of several linked ailments, most notably:

This type of scaling can be illustrious from clinical dandruff, which tends to deposit greasier and larger flakes than straightforward dry skin produces.

Treatment of Dandruff

It had been observed that nearly 50% of the world’s inhabitants has to suffer from the problem of dandruff at some stage of the life.

Mostly this problem persists throughout the stage of puberty and at this time sometimes it becomes a big trouble for the teenagers.

The main problem that the teenagers are pain from is the feeling of embarrassment. Because of this they can’t go on dates.

Another problem is that each time before captivating the meal they had to visit the bathroom just to make sure that flakes shouldn’t be a complexity in their meal.

Home Remedies for Dandruff

Hot steam bath is highly helpful for the hair and scalp. Massage hot oil and wrap a hot damp towel on the head for few minutes.

Immerse peels of lemon in coconut oil for 8-10 days in sunshine. Now sieve and apply on the hair. Hair will become dandruff free.

Hot oil therapy is the best method to cure dandruff. Massage hot oil into the scalp at bedtime.

Next morning an hour before the bath, rub lemon juice mixed with cosmetic vinegar into the scalp with cotton wool.

Wash your hair properly and as a last rinse use the juice of one lemon in a cup of hot water. Continue this action once or twice a week for three months.

Mix two tablespoons of cosmetic vinegar and six tablespoons of hot water.

Dab this with cotton on the scalp and leave it overnight. Next daybreak wash the hair with a shampoo. - Home Remedy for Dandruff

Mix beetroot juice in vinegar and apply on the scalp. Ginger juice and beetroot juice mixed together and applied on the scalp are also beneficial.

The juice of snake gourd is helpfulin the prevention and dandruff treatment. The juice should be rubbed over the scalp for this purpose.
