Rakhi Celebration and Meaning of Raksha Bandhan Festival

Rakhi Celebration in India stands for the sacred family member between a brother and a sister.

On the special time of Raksha Bandhan, people of all age collection can realize the actual value of have their own brother and sister in their life.

The bond of love flanked by a brother and a sister is the most gorgeous relation on this earth.

Rakhi celebration in India has famous background. It has its roots entrenched in the history of India.

On the Rakhi day, women tie Rakhi on their brother’s right wrist, to guard her as well as her brother from evil power.

In return, the brother gave her a gift and vow to protect her too. This custom is follow from centuries.

Other traditions of Rakhi celebration in India is that priests also tie rakhis on their patrons and be given gifts from them.

The festival is celebrated with a set custom and tradition. On this day, People wake up early and take bath to purify their mind and soul.

After worshipping God, sisters arranges the normal Rakhi Puja Thali consisting of Rakhi, Tika, Mithai, Diya besides other customary puja items to carry out the ceremony.

They perform aarti of their brothers and tie the sacred thread of rakhi on the wrist of brothers. While tying the holy thread, sisters pray to the divine for her brothers well being and contentment.

In turn, Brothers pledge to guard sister from all hardships and dangers that may befall on her.

Then sisters treat their brothers with appetizing foods and sweets and brothers give them beautiful Rakhi gifts or cash.

There is fun and a harmony during the fair of Rakhi as the family reunites on this day.
